In the 32nd round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, Lech Poznań won in Bydgoszcz with Zawisza, 2:1. Kasper Hamalainen and Tomasz Kędziora scored the goals for Lech.
According to the predictions of the Lechs analytic Marcin Wróbel, the guests would attack while Zawisza waited patiently for an opportunity to counterattack, and that is exactly what the fans saw on the Monday evening. The hosts gave away the ball and defended but Lech played too slowly to cause any trouble to Zawisza. In the first quarter both Pawłowski and Drygas tried surprising their opponents with accurate shots but neither goalkeeper had trouble saving them. Until the 39th minute, when Lech took the lead, there wasnt much going on near neither of the goals. Pawłowski sent a cross from the left wing and Hamalainen with a precise shot gave no chance to Kaczmarek. The hosts could have equalized 3 minutes later but Kotorowski managed to save Luis Carlos massive shot.
Zawisza began the second half with a visible ambition to play more brave, but they were inaccurate so often that Lech had no trouble stopping their opponents. Moreover, in the 57th minute the guests set the result. Lovrencsics was the one to send a precise cross from the corner kick and Kędziora with a header placed the ball in the net, scoring his first goal in Ekstraklasa. The hosts found themselves in an even worse situation when Nawotczyński fouled Pawłowski and received a red card. Surprisingly, Wołąkiewicz had to leave the pitch as well - after fouling Wójcicki in the penalty area - and the forces were balanced once again. Geworgian turned the penalty into a goal and brought some hope to Zawisza fans. However, Lech wisely kept the ball at their feet and they were the ones to gather all 3 points.
