Belek is a small city located in the Antalya province near Mediterranean Sea in the south-west of Turkey. The city lies near the Taurus Mountains, about 30km from the Antalya airport.
In the summer season Belek is the city of tourism. There are more than thirty 4-star hotels located in the city, as well as multiple private places offering rooms to rent. One of the most famous local attractions are the golf fields which are often visited by the golf's top athletes.
Tourists visit Belek every year to see the famous park inhabited by over 100 bird species. The park is also well-known for the cave hidden under the Kursunlu waterfall. Even historians will find Belek amusing. An ancient amphitheater Aspendos is located in the city. Nowadays classical music festivals, ballet concerts and opera shows take place in the amphitheater which can fit 20 thousand people.
At the beginning of each year Belek turns into a football center. Teams from various European leagues prepare for the upcoming matches in the local sport centers. Lech will have an opportunity to play 6 friendly games with different teams in January as the players get ready for the spring round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa.
