After the two recent losses in the league, the Polish Champions left the fifth place the have been occupying and they have no chance of returning to the mark before the play-offs. "That does not mean that the upcoming match with Gornik has no importance. We can still take a place closer to the ranks that are awarded with a chance to play on international arena. We have a lot to fight for, and thus our aim is to win. We know how much a team in good form can still achieve in those 7 rounds left," explained Jasmin Buric.
However, in order to achieve anything, the team from Poznan has to improve. "We want to play well and win. And we do know what we are capable of," emphasized Lukasz Tralka. "Last year we found our best form, but there is no one recipe for that. It's solely an impulse, either initiated by a single player, or the whole team together. There is still a lot at stake. We are approaching the final and decisive stage of the season and we have to give it all," added the captain.
The return of the recently injured players is a source of hope. Even Karol Linetty, who broke his rib, is now at the coach's disposal. "We are still waiting for the others to join the rest of the squad. Karol's return is a reason to rejoice, but there are still a couple of players that are out," said the midfielder who scored a goal in the last match. "We need to improve our form if we are aiming at a good result in league and a win in the Polish Cup," highlighted Buric.
