In the last league game of the season Lech Poznan drew with Wisla Cracow at INEA Stadium. The result allowed the team from Poznan to triumph in the Championship of Poland.
Lech had a clear aim to collect all three points, and therefore the team from Poznan was attacking since the very first whistle. In the first 20 minutes Lech's domination was indisputable. Kedziora, Linetty and Pawlowski all tried shooting from distance, but their shots were blocked each time. The hosts relentlessly pushed and they had a great chance to score in the 19th minute when Douglas' cross reached Kownacki, but the latter's header was easily saved by the goalkeeper. Further into the game the tempo of the play became slower and the guests finally started attacking. However, it wasn't until the injury time of the first half that Wisla caused problems to Lech. The hearts of the fans at INEA Stadium stopped beating when Brozek found himself one-on-one with Gostomski, but luckily for the hosts Kedziora was there to stop the forward from placing the ball in the net.
After the halftime Lech remained in control of the match, however the rivals were the ones to attack first. In the 51st minute Kaminski lost the ball to Guerriera and the latter sent it to Brozek who had only the goalkeeper to beat, however it was Gostomski who turned to be the better one in this clash. Soon after Kownacki had another great opportunity, but his header was slightly inaccurate. Neither of the teams managed to break apart the opponent's defense, and therefore when the referee blew the whistle for the last time on the Sunday evening, the scoreboard showed a blank tie and Lech could celebrate the first Championship in the last 5 years.
