On Monday Lech’s players resumed the training sessions and began the preparations for the second phase of the season. 21 footballers took part in the first winter sessions.
Among the missing footballers are the ones who have been sent on loan – Formella, Jozwiak and Gumny – but also Arajuuri, who’s now competing for Brondby Copenhagen. In addition, Kedziora did not take part in the training session. The defender is ill and even though he was seen in the club on Monday, he did not train with the rest of the squad.
Nenad Bjelica was absent as well. The coach arrived at INEA Stadium after the training began, and explained that his late arrival was caused by harsh winter weather conditions. Therefore, the first training session was led by the assistant coaches, Rene Poms and Dr Martin Mayer. The first training included working with the ball.
The session lasted 90 minutes. After a short warm-up in the gymnastic hall, the players trained on the pitch with the artificial grass, which is suitable for the winter weather conditions. The next couple of sessions this week are planned to look similar.
