The players' post-match comments

A loss is not a reason to give up. Lech's performance against Legia Warsaw was a proof of improvement which is a reason to rejoice. Read below the players' optimistic post-match reviews.

Łukasz Trałka (Lech's midfielder):

If it wasn't for the result, we played a good match. Legia had a couple of very good goal-scoring opportunities, but we helped her build them. If it comes to our play, we may be satisfied since we managed to build a couple of chances to score too. We came with a different squad and we can see it that we are regaining power and it will only be better. If you get goal-scoring opportunities at Lazienkowska, you have to convert them into goals. Legia had a few and she converted one. Even after we conceded the goal, we still believed we could equalize.

Marcin Kamiński (Lech's defender):

We are aware that Legia did not dominate, but nonetheless scored after a great play. Our mistakes decided about how many times Legia came close to scoring. We play better and better, we need to build good offensive actions and be consistent because an improvement is like a light at the end of the tunnel for us; it is like a hope that we can achieve better results. The championship is lost, but we cannot give up. We have 6 league matches to go and we have to win, which is what we are capable of.

Karol Linetty (Lech's midfielder):

We played good football and did not let Legia dominate us. We had a few chances to score, although not as good as the ones Legia had. There were moments when we demonstrated our power. I believe it was a great spectacle. Legia believed she could suffocate us. Football is a game of mistakes and since we made more of them, we lost. Buric defended really well, but we conceded a goal nonetheless. It is a pity that Nicki hit the post [only]. It he had scored, a lot more would have happened. Nonetheless, we fought.

I believe we played good, open football. Unfortunately, Aziz lost the ball and in the result we conceded a goal. We had little luck tonight, even though we play better than we did a month ago.
