On Saturday Lech Poznan faced 4th-league Tarnovia Tarnowo Podgorne in a friendly match. The game ended with a 7:0 win for Lech.
Bjelica’s team dominated the match against its 4th-league rival. The players from Poznan remained in possession of the ball for the majority of the time and enclosed Tarnovia in its own penalty box. However, the hosts were ones to build a good scoring chance. Zakrzewski came close to beating Mleczko, however, his attempt was slightly off target.
On the other end of the pitch Majewski had numerous opportunities to change the score, however, Tarnovia’s goalkeeper performed very well. Occasionally the hosts also caused problems to Lech’s defensive line, e.g. in the 22nd minute Kikut crossed the ball into the box where Telichowski was waiting, but the latter’s shot was off target,
Finally Lech managed to place the ball in the back of the net. In the 30th minute Bille received a long ball from Majewski and converted it into a precise shot. 5 minutes later it was already 2:0. Jevtic crossed the ball to Bille and although Dane’s first attempt was unsuccessful, the second shot fell into the back of the net. Before the referee announced halftime, Nicki Bille added the third goal to his account. This time he beat the goalkeeper with a header following an assist from Majewski.
The second half looked very similar to the first 45 minutes of the match. Lech dominated the play and in the 56th minute the guests had a perfect opportunity to change the score to 4:0. Jevtic’s precise shot was saved by Tarnovia’s keeper, but not without problems. Shortly afterward, Tralka’s header stopped on the crossbar. However, Lech eventually managed to add another goal to their account, this time following Tetteh’s shot from outside the box.
Bjelica’s players weren’t determined to keep on scoring, but opportunities to change the score came very easily. Soon it was 5:0, but this time it was Kaliszan who scored an unfortunate own goal. A minute later Radut found a way to place the ball in the back of Tarnovia’s goal for the 6th time that afternoon.
The Romanian midfielder looked for opportunities to score once more, but his attempts from outside the box were easily stopped by Tarnovia’s keeper. Eventually, Bille set the final scored to 7:0. In the 83rd minute Tralka could have added a goal of his own as well, but his attempt was off target, thus the match ended with a 7:0 win for Lech.
