Jan Sýkora will spent the upcoming season in Viktoria Plzeň. Lech Poznań has the option of bringing the winger back from loan in the winter transfer window. The agreement between the two clubs doesn’t include a buyout clause.
Sýkora joined Lech in August 2020 from Slavia Prague. The winger appeared in a total of 36 games, including 5 matches in the Europa League group phase. During the past season, the Czech player got 5 assists and scored one goal – in the Europa League qualifier against Apollon Limassol (5:0).
The winger left Poznań on Thursday and travelled to Plzeň where he underwent medical tests. After being given a green light, all the formalities have been completed, and the winger will once again play in his home country after a year abroad. In total, Sýkora has 120 Fortuna League caps on his account as he has previously represented various Czech clubs, including FK Jablonec, FC Slovan Liberec and Slavia Prague.
