Several dozen of listeners attended the Thursday educational conference related to sports clubs’ community activities. The event was organized by SWPS University, Medical University, and Sport Analytics together with Lech Poznan, and provided an opportunity to discuss a number of topics related to sports.
“Nowadays sports isn’t only about the rivalry on the pitches, ski jumps, or treadmills. It’s much more than that and it’s become an element of our everyday reality. Sport is now a part of our lives and it’s got a big influence,” explained Sebastian Starczewski, Lech’s Marketing Director.
That is the main reason why Lech’s Marketing Director discussed the club’s activities in the local community.
“It’s important to emphasize that Lech’s actions in the community are consistent with the activities related to the performance on the pitch. We have summarised the past 2 years during which we organized a number of big events, encouraged the fans to be active, placed a 180-ton locomotive in front of the stadium and regularly held meetings with the board, training staff and footballers,” highlighted Starczewski.
The conference was also a chance to unveil a 60-page brochure which described the most important actions taken throughout the project Lech RAZEM (Lech TOGETHER). All of them emphasize the club’s involvement in the local community.
“We believe that Lech has a privileged position in the local community – the club is its ambassador. As a result, Lech ought to care about the community, its values, as well as notice the problems and try and solve them,” said Lech’s Marketing Director.
The participants of the conference were the first ones to read the club’s new brochure. Since next week it will also be accessible for reading at the stadium reception and will be officially presented during the Friday pre-match press conference.
