Lechs goal in the 2nd minute wasnt a surprise, considering the recent games. This time it was Jevtic who put his team in a great position early in the match with an amazing individual action. 11 minutes later it could have been 2:0 but Kedzioras header flew above the crossbar.18 minutes later Flavio Paixao wasted a great chance with an inaccurate shot. Both sides had their own opportunities but it was either inaccuracy or the goalkeeper that stood on the way and Lech came down for the halftime with a one-goal lead.

At the beginning of the second half the guests went deeper into their own half and focused on the defense. Positional attack did not seem to be the strength of Slask that night and they did not cause much trouble to Gostomski. Hamalainen had his chance in the 61st minute when he found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper, but the latter won the clash. Lech seemed to control the play but in the 70th minute it was 1:1. Machaja took over the ball in the penalty area and gave no chance to Gostomski with a flat, precise shot.
