Michał Skóraś’s first call-up to the Polish National Team is not the only good news for the young winger. Lech’s homegrown player has also extended his contract with the Poznań club until June 2026.
The winger, who has recently been called up to the senior national team for the first time in his career, has been representing Lech since 2015. He joined Lech’s Academy from MOSIR Jastrzębie Zdrój, a small club in his hometown. Skóraś made his way through the Academy structures and even won a few trophies, including the U-19 Polish Championship in the season 2017/2018. After winning the title, Skóraś joined first Bruk-Bet Termalica, and then Raków Częstochowa on loan before returning to Poznań and becoming a permanent member of the senior squad.
So far, the 22-year-old made 96 appearances for Lech’s senior squad, scored 11 goals, and assisted his teammates 8 times. This season’s start has been remarkably successful for the young winger – not only did he score 6 goals already, but also added 3 assists. His great form didn’t go unnoticed, and the national team coach Czesław Michniewicz decided to call him up for Poland’s Nations League games against the Netherlands and Wales.
“I am very happy and thankful for the trust that the whole club puts in me. I am thrilled that for the next few years I will be able to stay at Lech and wear the blue-and-white colors,” emphasized the homegrown winger.
