The construction of an innovative simulator at the Lech Poznań Academy is entering its decisive phase. At the beginning of the week, representatives of the Austrian company skills.lab came to Wronki and started installing the ground-breaking equipment.
In the summer, the structure of modern skills.lab simulator was put up at the Academy’s training ground in Wronki. Throughout the past weeks, the finishing works were being carried out. Now it’s time to install the equipment, inside the newly erected building, which will arrive shortly to Wronki from, inter alia, Austria. “The deliveries have begun on Monday and will last for the upcoming two weeks. Simultaneously, assembly works will be taking place”, said the Project Manager, Michał Kokotek.
The outside of the skills.lab will not change significantly, but a lot will be happening inside it. The operations will run in two ways. “On the one hand, we will have assembly works, but to be able to move on to the next steps, everything will have to be checked on an ongoing basis. It is a complex process, which will include, among others, software installation, calibration and adaptation of equipment for everyday use. Currently, works related to the switchgear and server room are at an advanced stage,” explained Kokotek.
The facility is to be ready for use at the end of this calendar year. As for the entire Research and Development Centre, the final date of construction is estimated for mid of 2022 and, so far, everything is going according to plan.
