For the third time in a row Lech Poznan collects all three points, but this time against Ruch Chorzow. Gajos got a goal before halftime, while Jevtic's double set the score to 3:1. The win helped the Polish Champions remain on the fifth position in the league and approach the top ranks closer.

The fans at Cicha Street did not have to wait long for the first goal-scoring opportunity, because in the 6th minute Kownacki could have converted Jevtic's pass into a goal, if it wasn't for lack of precision. A moment later the hosts attacked. Stepinski came close to scoring as he took advantage over Arajuuri's and Buric's misunderstanding. However, the Finnish defender managed to make up for his error and stop the player. 2 minutes later Lech received another warning. This time the ball fell into the back of the guests' goal, but since the linesman raised his flag, Oleksy's goal was disallowed.

Gradually as the minutes passed it was Lech who started to dominate the match. Kownacki and Jevtic had a couple chances to score the first goal of the game, but their shots were either not on target, or Ruch's defenders successfully stopped the attacking players. Even Tralka and Aziz Tetteh joined in on the offensive actions, but Lech remained without a goal. Arajuuri's attempt from the 34th minute was inaccurate too. However, despite all those goal-scoring opportunities, it was Ruch that found a way to score. Nonetheless, since Grodzicki fouled Tralka before placing the ball in the net, the goal was disallowed and the score remained a goalless draw. But not for long. In the 44th minute Gajos converted Kownacki's pass into a great shot right into the cornet of the net.

Since the hosts had nothing to lose, they were the ones who dominated the opening minute of the second half. Despite an indisputable advantage, Ruch had little shot fired at the goal in the statistics. The solid defense and the goalkeeper's good performance kept the goal blocked. On the other half of the pitch Gajos had a good chance to score, but he wasted Lovrencsics' great cross. Nonetheless, a few minutes later the score changed to 2:0 when the Hungarian midfielder sent a similar pass to Jevtic and the latter placed the ball in the net without much difficulties.

Lech's biggest strength of the night were the counterattacks, thus the team continued with this tactics and Ruch continued to remain in possession of the ball. The possession gave the hosts the desired results and Stepinski beat Buric in the 63rd minute. The goal reenergized the hosts and the players from Chorzow seemed even more determined to beat their opponent.

Formalik's team came close to equalizing when, to everyone's surprise, Stepinski found himself one-against-one with Buric. The forward wanted to pass the goalkeeper with a swift move, but he slipped, and luckily for Lech, Buric caught the ball. A few minutes later Lech scored the third goal and set the final score. Jevtic's attempt to pass into the penalty area was blocked, but when the Swiss player fired a shot into the corner of the net, the defenders and the goalkeeper were left helpless.

Ruch did not give up and kept of attacking. Its players fired a few shots from outside the penalty area, but they all were either not on target, or easily saved by Buric. The closer to the end of the match, the more confident Lech grew, and although the guests did not have many chances to score, their defense was solid and thus the match ended with a 3:1 win for the team from Poznan.
