Thomas Rogne decided to visit Poznan during the off-season holidays. Having played his last match for IFK Goteborg, the footballer flew to Poznan and began preparing for the winter transfer.
On Sunday Rogne played his last match for IFK Goteborg. That’s when the footballer’s holidays began. Shortly afterward - Tuesday - Thomas landed in Poznań. “I was in Poznań for the first time back in summer when I signed a contract with Lech. I didn’t have the time to sightsee because everything was happening very quickly. I have only seen the city center so far and I liked it a lot. Seems like it’s the perfect city to live in. I am very happy that in January I will officially become a player of Lech Poznań,” commented the 27-year-old.
Whilst visiting the Polish city, Rogne also underwent control medical tests which are meant to help Lech’s medical staff determined the player’s current form. In addition, Rogne will receive a training plan for the holiday period. The footballer won’t only train individually, but also with his current club, IFK Goteborg. The club’s training sessions are scheduled to resume in December.
However, the medical tests aren’t the only reason why Rogne visited Poznań. “It’s also a great opportunity to take care of other issues related to the transfer and moving homes. Usually, when you’re joining another club, you only have a couple of days to organize it all. In my case it was different – I had 6 months to prepare the technicalities like apartment, car, or bank account. The club has been very helpful in every single one of those matters,” explained the footballer.
Rogne will also visit the stadium during his stay in Poznań. Most likely the footballer will have a chance to meet his teammates and watch one of the training sessions, as well as meet his future coach, Nenad Bjelica.
