Today in Nyon took place the draw of the fourth Europa League qualifying round. If Lech manages to beat KRC Genk in the upcoming two-leg clash, the Polish team will face the winner of the pair Brøndby Copenhagen – FK Spartak Subotica.
The team from Copenhagen was ranked second in the league last season. So far, after 4 league games, the Danish club has 10 points on their account. Among Brøndby’s squad there is Lech’s ex-player Paulus Arajuuri and Polish forward Kamil Wilczek.
Meanwhile, Spartak Subotica finished last season on the third spot in the league table. The Serbian team started the Europa League qualifications from the first round. So far, Spartak beat Northern Irish Coleraine (1:1; 2:0) and Sparta Praha (2:0; 1:2).
If Lech advances to the next round of Europa League qualifications, the first game will be played in Poznan on the 23rd of August while the second leg will be scheduled for August 30th.
