In the game of the 16th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan lost 2:3 with Piast Gliwice in an away match, despite leading 1:0 at halftime.
It was the fourth game in a row when Lech took the lead at the beginning of the match. In Gliwice Pawlowski changed the result in the 3rd minute with a strong shot to the back of the net. The hosts had their only opportunity of the first half 2 minutes later, but Martinez shot was inaccurate. Both Lovrencsics and Hamalainen could have made it 2:0, but it was either the goalkeeper or the crossbar that stood on the way.
The second half began well for the hosts who managed to equalize in the 47th minute. It was Wilczek who turned a center from a corner kick into a goal with a precise header. 3 minutes later Piast took over the lead. Kaminski did not stop the long ball that was addressed to Szeliga and the latter gave no chance to Gostomski. However, Lech did not give up. Kaminski paid back for his mistake in the 68th minute with a volley that fell into the back of the net. The guests were fighting for all three points, but it was Piast who managed to score another goal from a counterattack and win a league game with Lech for the first time.
