PC: Termalica Nieciecza - Lech Poznań 0:4

Lech, being a team from T-Mobile Ekstraklasa, travelled to Nieciecza as a favorite of the upcoming game. Moreover the team from Poznań having been eliminated from the European League, didnt want to end the Polish Cup on the 1/16 round. However it was the host that took control in the beginning of the match and in the 7th minute created a chance but the header of Drozdowicz went slightly above the bar. Five minutes later Horvath tried shooting from outside the penalty area but he missed. In the 23rd minute the team from Poznań responded with Trałkas dangerous shot from a sharp angle but the opponents goalkeeper saved it. The best chance created for Lech took place in the 33rd minute when all three, Hamalainen, Lovrencsics and Pawłowski, fired shots at Kasprziks goal but the keeper made a great job, securing his team with the help of desperately playing defenders. Two minutes later after a mistake of Henriquez, Rybski had a great chance to take his team to a lead but he couldnt use the fact that Kotorowski was out of the goal and missed with a header.

The second half started with a strong shot from Lech Poznań defender Kamiński whos freekick hit the post in the 47th minute. Ubiparip tried placing the ball in the net but his shot was saved by the keeper. The hosts responded with an individual action from Jarecki in the 54th minute but the ball hit the side net. 4 minutes later the team from Nieciecza tried surprising Lech Poznań keeper with Pawlusińskis freekick but Kotorowski did a good job saving the shot. The result finally changed in the 63rd minute. Ślusarski who had just come on the pitch sent a great ball to Teodorczyk whos header left the keeper helpless. The team from Poznań kept on attacking and two minutes later it was already 2:0 when the roles turned around and Teodorczyk was the one to assist Ślusarski. The latter used his one-on-one chance and placed the ball in the net. With a two-goals lead the team from Poznań found the game easier and they took complete control over the match. In the 78th minute another goal was scored. This time it was Trałka who started the counterattack with a pass to Ubiparip. The Serb assisted Pawłowski who kept his head calm and bet the goalkeeper easily. In the additional time it was Drewniak who finished teams great passing and set the result to 4:0.
