Karlo Muhar will represent CSKA Sofia in the upcoming season. Lech Poznań and the Bulgarian club reached an agreement on the loan of the defensive midfielder. The contract includes an option to buy the player.
The Croatian midfielder arrived in Bulgaria on Monday morning and underwent medical tests before signing a contract with CSKA Sofia. The club from the capital is currently ranked sixth in the local league, however, they have three overdue games to play - a result of their appearance in European competition. On Thursday evening, CSKA Sofia eliminated Viktoria Plzen and made their way into the group phase of Europa Conference League.
Muhar joined Lech back in summer 2019. He made 45 appearances for the Polish club, including 35 league games. He also scored one goal throughout his span at Lech and got three assists. The defensive midfielder spent the autumn round of the last season on loan in Kayserispor where, in the 16 games that he played, Muhar score one goal and added one assist to his account. Now the Croatian player will join CSKA Sofia on loan until June 30th, 2022. The contract also includes an option to buy.
