The manufacturer of modern electrical muscle stimulation equipment MEON EMS partnered up with Lech Poznań. It’s the first such cooperation in the history of Polish football. The agreement will enable Lech to take advantage of suits, MEON EMS system connectors, as well as a dedication app. The equipment is meant to support players in their post-injury recovery, as well as during regular individual strengthening and cardio sessions.
The importance of post-injury recovery, as well as the impact of strength and endurance in the context of players’ performance, is common knowledge. This season is slowly coming to an end, but Lech still has plenty of important league and cup games to play, hence the coaching staff is looking for innovative solutions to support the squad during this intense period. That is why Lech Poznań has decided to partner with MEON EMS. As a result of the agreement, Lech’s players and coaching staff will have at their disposal special EMS suits, system connectors, and a dedicated app.
“We are proud to have the trust of Lech Poznań. Especially since it’s the first such cooperation in the history of Polish football. Top-class athletes from all over the world (including the likes of Real Madrid players) use electrical muscle stimulation in their training routines. Therefore, we are confident that MEON EMS – as the most modern system on the market – will perfectly enhance Lech’s training program and help them build an advantage over their competitors in terms of strength, endurance, and post-injury recovery,” highlighted Łukasz Domaradzki, Chairman of MEON EMS Sp. z o. o.
EMS has been proved to be very effective. Muscles are stimulated electrically to work without overworking joints and the backbone. Specially designed suits can aid in rehabilitation since electrostimulation, when combined with training, is an effective and safe way to recover from an injury. It’s also worth emphasising that electrical stimulations engage up to 90% of muscle fibers at the same time which directly increases strength and endurance.
Lech’s management is also thrilled with the new partnership. “A safe recovery after an injury is essential to us and so is avoiding the repetition of injuries. This is where EMS will be very helpful. However, there’s more – electrostimulation also positively impacts the players who aren’t injured but want to focus on, for instance, physical strength during their training sessions,” explained Karol Kikut, Lech’s Motoric Training Coach.
