Mateusz Skrzypczak will no longer compete for Lech Poznań. The youngster’s contract, which is valid until June 30th, will not be extended. Starting July, the 21-year-old will represent Jagiellonia Białystok as the two sides signed a two-year contract with an option to extend for another year.
The Poznań-born defender has been competing for Lech Poznań for the past 17 years. He played on all levels of the youth and senior team structures, and won a few trophies, including the Polish championship in the younger and older junior categories. In addition, he played an important role in the team’s promotion to the central leagues level.
Skrzypczak debuted for the senior team in April 2019, in an Ekstraklasa clash against Jagiellonia Białystok (3:3). In total, he made 14 appearances for Lech during which he scored one goal – in the Polish Club match against Chrobry Głogów (2:0). This year, he also added the Polish senior championship title to his account.
Skrzypa, thank you for representing the blue & white colours! Good luck with your football career. We will see you again at Bułgarska street – your forever home!
