Radoslaw Majewski is Lech's newest player. The footballer signed a three-year contract with the club on Wednesday.
Radoslaw Majewski spent the last year in the Greek PAE Veria, where he played 33 matches, scored 4 goals and assisted 4 times. Before that, the footballer competed on the English pitches. "In the last year spent in England I played a little only. I was determined to regain my form and that is why I decided for a transfer to Greece where I was given an opportunity to compete on the field regularly and get back in shape. Now it is time to make another step forward and fight for the top trophies," explained the footballer.
Majewski first heard about Lech's interest in February. "Lech is a big club which, after a bad season, wants to rebuild the team. I know was Lech is capable of and thus I want to take part in the 'recontruction'. Back in Greece the club was aiming high too, but in the end the team was placed on the 13th rank, just avoiding relegation. I know I can still play at the top level and I believe that at Lech is where I will get a chance too," emphasized Majewski.
The 29 year-old will compete for a place in the starting lineup with Darko Jevtic, Maciej Gajos and Karol Linetty. "Following Majewski's transfer, the rivalry in the midfield will only get more interesting. We needed a creative player who also has the capability to win direct clashes. Majewski has experience from the Premier League which is considered tough. We hope that his transfer will strengthen the team," said Karol Klimczak, the chairman of the club.
The midfielder is Lech's third transfer ahead of the season, after Matus Putnocky and Lasse Nielsen joined the team. Majewski will meet the rest of the squad on June 13th, when the team is going to begin the pre-season preparations.
