In the game of the 4th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznań won in Gdańsk with Lechia 2:1. Stjonan Vranjes scored the goal for the hosts but the Łukasz Teodorczyk headed the ball twice into the net in the second half and Lech got all three points.
The players of Lech werent in the best moods when the game started and that wasnt hard to see. The hosts took over the initiative immediately and in the 5th minute they could have taken the lead but Janicki missed from a close distance. 8 minutes later Makuszewski sent a perfect pass to Vranjes but the defenders from Poznań blocked the shot at the last second. In the 20th minute Możdżeń sent a precise ball into the penalty area but Makuszewskis shot was inaccurate. The hosts offensive actions won them a penalty kick in the 35th minute. Wołąkiewicz accidentally fouled Vranjes and the referee without any hesitation pointed to the white spot in the penalty area. The Bosnian player approached the ball and placed it in the net next to Kotorowski. Lechs first dangerous offensive action took place in the 39th minute and the guests immediately equalized. Lovrencsics raced down the left flank and sent a cross into the penalty area where Kownacki was waiting to place the ball in the net. However, the linesman had raised the flag and the goal was disallowed because of a millimeter offside the Hungarian winger was on when receiving a pass. Just before halftime Sadajew was kicked out. The forward of the hosts attacked Trałka aggressively and he was shown a red card right away.
Lechia began the second half without a forward and yet in the 47th minute they could have made it 2:0. Wołąkiewicz slipped on his own half and Makuszewski took over the ball but he sent it next to the post. After that, it was Lech who began dominating. Jevtić was the first one to cause trouble to Lechia when in the 49th minute his massive shot tested the resistance of the crossbar. In the 60th minute Lovrencsics sent another precise cross into the penalty area but Ubiparip headed the ball over the goal. Lechs attacks were successful in the 80th minute. Kędziora crossed the ball into the penalty area right on the head of Teodorczyk whos shot left Trela helpless. The guests kept on fighting until the very end and in the 84th minute they scored the goal that gave them all three points. The action looked exactly the same as the equalizer, with Kędziora crossing the ball and Teodorczyk placing it in the net.
