Lech will finally compete in Europa League group stage after a 5-year long break. The team from Poznan won with Videoton 1:0 in the second leg. Tomorrow Lech will get to know its rivals in the group phase.

The second leg was played in Szekesfehervar, and therefore it was a unique match for the Hungarians that represent Lech every day. However, only Tamas Kadar was a part of the starting XI, while Lovrencsics and Holman were placed on the bench.

The hosts promised to make up for the score in Poznan and they could have gotten their first goal as early as in the 9th minute. That is when Feczesin received a pass from the left flank and fired a shot at the goal. However, Buric was focused and the goalkeeper did not let the ball fall into the back of the net. Feczesin had another goal-scoring opportunity a few minutes later, but once again Buric turned out to be unbeatable. Lech built offensive actions too, but only Pawlowski's individual run finished with a shot on target. A few passes into the penalty area reached Lech's players, but the linesman as forced to raise the flag in many of such situations.

After 15 minutes, the pace of the play diminished and due to many inaccurate passes, rarely did any of the teams come close to the penalty area of its opponent. Videoton dominated slightly, however the Hungarians couldnt surprise Buric, and therefore the scoreboard at halftime showed a goalless tie.

Despite poor match, neither of the coaches decided to make any substitutions at halftime. Nonetheless, the hosts came to play the second half highly motivated and for the few opening minutes they did not let Lech leave its half of the pitch. However, the closer to Lech's goal, the more trouble Videoton had with converting the chances into a goal.

The team from Poznan woke up in the 55th minute and soon after it was already 1:0. Luijckx slipped in the midfield and touched the ball with his hand. Douglas converted the chance into an accurate cross into the penalty area right where Kaminski was standing. Just when it seemed that the goalkeeper would recover the ball, Danilovic failed to catch it and in the result Kedziora fired an accurate volley between the two defending players and into the back of the net.

In the 77th minute the hosts got a chance to equalize. Ivanovski left Kaminski behind far too easily, but when the player found himself one-against-one with Buric, the goalkeeper successfully intervened.

Lech had no trouble defending the score until the final whistle, and therefore the team from Poznan was the one who advanced to Europa League group stage. Tomorrow Lech will get to know the rivals it is going to play against in the group phase.
