Lech Poznań - Zagłębie Lubin 1:1

After the effective win in Cracow, Lech was a definitive favorite of the game with Zagłębie who is oddly poor this season. The team from Poznań could have quickly proven these predictions in the 14th minute when after Lovrencsics cross from the corner Kamiński sent a great header. However, Gliwas parade saved his team from losing a goal. The guests began dominating the game and they created three good goal-scoring chances. In the 20th minute Abwo easily passed Douglas and played to Kwiek who was in the penalty area. The latter sent a strong shot but right into the middle of the goal and Gostmoski saved it. 4 minutes later Kwiek sent a long ball to Piech but he did not shoot the ball clear being one-on-one. However, it was rather the state of the pitch that influenced the finish of the action rather than the defender that was chasing Piech. The best chance the guests had was wasted in the 26th minute when Abwo found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after a counter attack. In the 37th minute the team from Lubin finally placed the ball in the net. Kwiek sent a cross into the penalty area, Rymaniak turned out to be faster than Gostomski and his team took the lead.

In the second half Lech was very determined to catch up but the players of Mariusz Rumak were unable to pass the well-organized defense of Zagłębie. Thats why the guests decided to shoot more often from outside the penalty area. The shots, however, were either inaccurate most of the times or it was Gliwas interventions that stopped them. The closest to scoring was Murawski in the 78th minute when his precise shot hit the bar. 5 minutes later the tries turned into a goal. Mateusz Możdżeń scored a great goal from a free kick. Gliwa was helpless with the perfect shot. There wasnt enough time for Lech to gather all three points so in the end they had to share it with the team from Lubin.
