In the 33rd round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan won with Slask Wroclaw at INEA Stadium 3:0. Thanks to the three points the team from Poznan secured the first position in the league rank.
Both teams wanted to put behind their recent appearances. In the last match Lech unexpectedly lost with Jagiellonia Bialystok, while Slask tied at home with Legia Warsaw which was playing with 10 men. In Poznan guests were the ones who attacked first and in the 4th minute they had a chance to take over the lead. Linetty lost the ball in the midfield easily and a few seconds later Flavio Paixao was all alone with Buric, but luckily for Lech, the goalkeeper did not let the ball pass him. After the opening minutes in which Slask dominated, the hosts started controlling the match and in the 13th minute they were already winning. Pawlowski sent a precise center into the penalty area while Kownacki freed himself from the defenders and placed the ball in the net with a header. A few minutes later it was 2:0. Having assisted once, Pawlowski added a goal to his account. It was Sadajew that sent good ball into the penalty area and the winger finished the action with a flat shot into the goal. However, Lech still kept on attacking and in the 28th minute the result changed once again. Pawlowski was the one to place the ball in the net, but this time with a wonderful lob that left the goalkeeper helpless.
After the halftime the tempo of the match slowed down, however it was Lech that was in possession of the ball most of the time. The guests were determined to score a goal, but none of their offensive actions was successful. The two substitutions made by Slask's coach did not change the image of the game either. In the 68th minute Flavio Paixao managed to beat Buric, however the linesman had his flag raised and the goal was disallowed. Lech had multiple chances to score another goal, however neither Sadajew nor Formella found a way to place the ball in the net and so the result remained unchanged.
