Lech Poznan - Ruch Chorzow 2:1

In the first league game of the spring round at the INEA Stadium Lech Poznan beat Ruch Chorzow 2:1. Sadajew and Hamalainen scored the goals for the hosts.

Lech began the match better than its rivals since they attacked from the very start. Soon the offensive actions brought result. In the 6th minute Gergo Lovrencsics sent a flat cross into the penalty area and Zaur Sadajew tapped the ball in. Despite having scored a goal, the hosts kept on dominating. In the 21st minute Sadajew was pushed down in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the middle of the penalty area. Marcin Kaminski was the one to execute the penalty kick, however his flat shot was too weak and the goalkeeper saved it. A moment later Gostomski had to intervene when Zienczuk fired a shot from 18 meters. In the 32nd minute it could have been 2:0, but Tralka slightly missed the ball that Hamalainen sent into the penalty area. A few minutes later Lech scored the second goal. This time Kedziora crossed the ball from the right flank and Kasper Hamalainen placed it in the net with a header.

It was Marek Zienczuk who caused the most problems to Lech's defense in the second half, but Ruch's braver attacks weren't efficient enough. The whole game lost tempo, even though both teams wanted to score. In the 78th minute Gergo Lovrencsics fauled Gigolaev in his own penalty area and this time the penalty kick was awarded to Ruch. Filip Starzynski made it 2:1 without difficulties. However, the guests did not manage to equalize and at last it was Lech who collected all three points.
