Skorza sent his best lineup to face Legia at the INEA Stadium. The only one missing was Jevtic, who has been struggling with a backbone injury. Lech's attack was made up of Kownacki, Lovrencsics, Hamalainen and the spring's most effective player from Poznan - Sadajew.
Just after the referee blew the whistle for the first time, Zyro rushed down the right flank, passed Douglas and tested Buric's reflex, however the goalkeeper intervened without problems. Soon after it was Lech that attempted to surprise their opponents' goalkeeper. Gergo Lovrencsics took over the ball that was sent into the penalty area by Douglas. The Hungarian player sent a massive shot in the direction of the ball, but it was slightly inaccurate. Both Zyro and Lovrencsics tried shooting again the following minutes, however neither managed to place the ball in the net. Towards the end of the first half the players slowed down the tempo and focused on playing the ball in the midfield.
In the second 45 minutes the game changed. In the 62nd minute Kasper Hamalainen received a pass and found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper. Malarz was forced to leave the penalty area and intervene, however unluckily for him and his teammates, he intervened with his hand and the referee showed a red card without hesitation. Douglas was the one to execute the free kick and he did it perfectly, sending the ball into the corner of the goal. Kuciak who had just entered the pitch was helpless. A few minutes later it was already 2:0. Linetty dribbled past one of the defending players and sent a perfectly-timed pass to Hamalainen who left his rivals behind the put the ball past the goalkeeper and into the net. Once again the tempo was slowed down, however the match remained exhilarating. Both teams attempted to score a goal and it Legia that eventually succeeded. In the 84th minute Kucharczyk took over the ball in Lech's penalty area and gave no chance to Buric. However, no other goals were scored and so the hosts were the ones to take all three points. This win decreased the difference between Lech and Legia to three points in the league table.
