In the last round of this year Lech Poznan won at home with Lechia Gdansk 1:0. Dariusz Formella scored the goal that allowed the hosts to complete all three points.
Lech was a definitive favorite of the game against a weakened Lechia. The hosts could have taken over the lead in the 3rd minute, but Formella's shot from outside the penalty area was too weak to cause any trouble to Bak. 10 minutes later Formella sent a great pass to Keita, but the latter failed to beat the goalkeeper. There were multiple opportunities for Lech to score and the hosts finally succeeded in the 32nd minute when Sadajew passed to Formella and the young player sent the ball into the net next to the post. Keita had a chance to make it 2:0 before halftime, but his shot was too weak to surprise Bak. The first half ended with a one-goal lead for Lech even though it could have been more.
The image of the game did not change in the second half with Lech attacking in search of a second goal. In the 58th minute the result could have changed when Jevtic had a brilliant individual run and he was pulled down in the penalty area by one of the defending players. The referee pointed to the white spot without hesitation. Hamalainen was the one to execute the penalty kick, but he failed to place the ball in the net. The next opportunity for the second goal arrived in the 79th minute, but Sadajew missed the ball from 3 meters. The forward paid up for the wasted chance in the 90th minute with a great long ball to Hamalainen, but the latter failed to beat the goalkeeper and the match ended with a small, but significant win for Kolejorz. It was the third time in a row that Lech completed all three points - a series that hasn't happened this season before.
