The Saturday league clash between Lech Poznan and Korona Kielce ended in a goalles tie, and therefore the two teams had to share points.

In the 4th round of Ekstraklasa Korona Kielce visited INEA Stadium to face Polish Champion. Brosz's team, despite the club's financial problems, had been doing really well in the opening league matches, having lost only one game out of the recent three. This Saturday the team from Kielce was to play against Lech, who wanted to prove that the last scores in Ekstraklasa can already be forgotten.

Lech's starting XI differed slightly from the recent ones seen on the pitch. Neither Hamalainen, nor Douglas have been playing since first minute. Instead of the two, Skorza decided to send in Robak and Dudka. Moreover, Lovrencsics, Kedziora and Kadar found themselves in the first XI to face Korona.

The hosts were the ones to attack in the opening minutes of the Saturday match. In the first minutes of the game, Lech already had a good goal-scoring opportunity when Pawlowski sent a long ball to Jevtic and the latter redirected it towards the goal, but unfortunately for the hosts, Robak did not get there on time and the ball rolled over the sideline.

Skorza's players dominated the match by being in possession of the ball most of the time and constantly attempting to find their way across Korona's defense line. Lech's best goal attempts in that part of the half were Lovrencsics' shot from 30th meter and Jevtic's shot from in front of the penalty area, but neither was converted into a goal.

In the second quarter Brosz's players had their first opportunity to cause problems to Lech. However, Lech's defense line was guarding the goal successfully and the result on the scoreboard remained a goalless tie. A few minutes later the hosts had yet another chance to score. Pylypchuka cross reached Trytko and the latter redirected the ball to Sobolewski with his heel. The latters shot was stopped by Kadar, who's been defending well since the very opening minutes of the match.

Lech received a warning when Brosz's players had a few goal attempts, however, soon after the hosts began attacking more intensively again, and Lovrencsics, Pawlowski and Thomalla had an opportunity to score, but neither succeeded.

The closing minutes of the first half were dominated by Korona. The guests had a good goal-scoring opportunity when Sobolewski's cross from the corner kick reached Trytko, but the latter's shot was too strong and it flew above the crossbar.

Lech began the second half with intense attacks, but in a different squad. Kadar was replaced by Ceesay, while Kedziora was moved the left flank. Hosts had two good chances right after the start of the second half. However, both Thomalla's and Lovrencsics' shots were slightly not on target.

Most of the play in the second half took place in the midfield. Late into the game Dariusz Dudka received a yellow card for a foul on Pylypchuk, and therefore Lech was forced to end the match in ten men. Nonetheless, the hosts remained pushing on Korona's defense line, attempting to score a goal until the very last whistle. However, when the referee announced the end of the Saturday clash, the two teams had to share points.
