In the second match of second stage of qualifications to Europa League, Lech Poznań had won with Khazar Lankaran 1:0. The winning goal was scored by Aleksandar Tonev in first half of the match. Lech Poznań had been promoted to the next round.
Before the match, Lech Poznań's fans show a picture of the tragically deceased on Monday Maciej Opala. Popular "Uncle" was huge fan of Lech Poznań. His memory was also honoured by a minute of silent.
Khazar better started the match. In 6' minute good situation had Subasić, but fortunatelly his shot was inaccurate. Few minutes later Pita was trying to score a goal too, but it was inaccurate too. Kolejorz answer to the opponents in the best possible way - in 15' Tonev scored! After a short pass from corner the ball went to Tonev, and a flat shot from outside the box, gave no chances to the goalkeeper. Now, Lech had been so close in the next round. To the end of the first half nothing had changed and Lech was still in better situation.
The second half started in the same way like first: Khazar was trying to score a goal. Kolejorz "woke up" in 60'. At first fantastic shot of Tonev , with so difficult defend by Agajew. In 61' Wołąkiewicz and Tonev had shown everyone that they have advenced technic - they had lost defence of Khazar and passed the ball to the Ubiparip who unfortunatelly missed. Lech was still trying to score next goal. 76' Tonev again took fantastic pass, but Lovrencsics didn't reach the ball. 79' Grego Lovrencsics had opportunity to revenge. Murawski had passed to Grego but his shot by the head was stopped by Agajew and in the second try the defence kick the ball outside the sward. Unused situations could be revenged. In Lech Poznań's box appear Brenes, but unfortunatelly defenders of Lech blocked the shot.
Lech Poznań had won 1:0 and took a promotion.
