In the second winter sparing played in Spain, Lech Poznan drew with Jiangsu Sunning 1:1. Darko Jevtic was the one who got the goal for Lech, while Zhang Xinlin scored an equalizer for the Chinese team shortly before the final whistle.
It didn't take long for Lech to dominate the match and in the 12th minute the team from Poznan had their first goal-scoring opportunity. It was Gajos who passed to Bille and the latter tried shooting from an acute angel but the ball was inaccurate. Shortly afterwards Lovrencsics found himself in a similar situation and although his shot was on target, the goalkeeper intervened successfully.
In the other penalty area the Chinese player attempted to score too. In the 36th minute Jiangsu caused some problems to Lech when Sammir fired a strong shot from outside the penalty area, but luckily for the team from Poznan, Kotorowski managed to stop the ball. A few moments later Ji Xianga tried surprising the goalkeeper with a shot, but his attempt flew above the crossbar.
Nonetheless, Lech was the first to score. Jozwiak was the one who initiated the action and having moved into the center of the midfield, the player passed a long ball to Jevtic, while the latter had no one left to beat but the goalkeeper and thus the score changed for the first time in that game. Lech had another goal-scoring opportunity before the halftime, but Lovrencsics' shot was blocked.
After the break the game slightly changed. Even though Lech seemed to control the match, the Chinese opponents attacked more and more often. Whenever Jiangsu reached Lech's penalty area, the team from Poznan had serious problems. In the 59th minute Yang Xiaotian left both Ceesay and Dejewski behind and rushed into the penalty, however his shot turned out to be very inaccurate. Lech's defenders found Escudero problematic too since whenever he received the ball, he was hard to stop. Escudero was the one who converted Xiaotian's pass into a strong, precise shot in the 65th minute, but once again Kotorowski intervened well. A few minutes later Qu Cheng was left unmarked in the penalty area and if it wasnt for the lack of accuracy, Lech might have paid the price for their errors.
On the other side of the pitch it was Jozwiak who caused problems to the defending players with his individual runs and good long balls. Wilusz was one of the footballers who could have scored for Lech the second goal, however when the defender executed a free kick, the ball flew above the crossbar. Meanwhile, Qu Cheng attempted to head the ball into the net, but he wasnt any less precise.
The Chinese kept on creating opportunities to score, like the one in 76th minute when Ji Xiang passed the goalkeeper and had an empty goal to shoot on, but the Asian footballers were ineffective. Lech tried pushing their opponents deeper into the midfield to get a chance to score, however the team from Poznan lacked a good final pass. Jiangsu was the one who finally succeeded in their attempts and in the 88th minute Xinlin placed the ball in the net with a strong shot right under the crossbar.
