In the game of the 23rd round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan won at home with Jagiellonia Bialystok 2:0. Barry Douglas and Tomasz Kedziora (from a penalty) scored the goals for Lech.
Since the beginning the play mostly took place in the midfield; both teams were waiting for one another's mistake. However, it was Lech that created more troublesome actions for the opponents. In the 17th minute an accident took place in Jagiellonia's penalty area. Gergo Lovrencsics and Karol Mickiewicz bumped when fighting in the air for the ball and the former was carried out of the pitch. 10 minutes later Sadajew could have changed the result when he received a great pass from Hamalainen, however the goalkeeper intervened successfully. A few minutes before halftime Hamalainen and Linetty decided to play out an action and the latter ended it with a shot from the 16th meter that caused trouble to Jagiellonia's goalkeeper. Even though Lech dominated, the result at halftime was still 0:0.
After the break the players of Michal Probierz took control over the match, however they did not cause serious trouble to Lech's defense. The hosts were eager to score a goal and in the 52nd minute they had a chance when Pawlowski was fouled just outside the penalty area, but Sadajew's shot was blocked by the wall. 10 minutes later the other team attacked, but Gajos' header was successful saved by Gostomski. Just when it seemed that both sides would have to share the points, Barry Douglas decided for a shot from the 20th meter and the goalkeeper was helpless. In the 90th minute Pawlowski was pushed in the penalty area and the referee pointed to the white spot without hesitation. Tomasz Kedziora converted the penalty into a goal and at last it was Lech that won all three points thanks to a two-goal win.
