Lech Poznan lost at INEA Stadium with Jagiellonia Bialystok 1:3. Dawid Kownacki scored the only goal for the hosts.
Lech came on the pitch occupying the highest position in the league rank thanks to the recent win in Warsaw. On the Sunday evening Skorza's players had a chance to move away from Legia in the number of points, as the rivals from the capital were to play their match later that day. On the other hand, Jagiellonia wanted to catch up to their opponents having lost points in the tied game against Slask. Therefore, coach Probierz said that his team would play offensively in the match in Poznan.
The words of the coach resembled well the image of the game in the opening minutes. The guests attacked since the very beginning and most of the time they did not leave Lech's half of the pitch. However, Jagiellonia could mark their domination with a successful offensive actions. After the period of time it was Lech that finally took control over the play. In the 7th minute Kaminski received a good cross from Douglas, however the defender's header flew above the crossbar. This action initiated a series of attacks from the hosts. About 2 minutes later Sadajew sent a flat ball into the penalty area, but Pawlowski's shot was blocked by Jagiellonia's defense line.
The guests had a chance of their own in the 15th minute, however Romanczuk's header flew above the crossbar. Both games slowed down their tempo as the time went on. Lech was the one who kept the ball most of the time while the guests focused on defense and waited for an opportunity to counterattack. In the 36th minute Sadajew was close to beating the goalkeeper from Bialystok, but his shot was slightly inaccurate, and so was Hamalainen's attempt that took place a moment later. No team managed to cause real trouble to one another and so the first half ended with a goalless tie.
After the halftime the play did not change much. Lech was still in possession of the ball most of the time, and therefore they seemed closer to scoring a goal. The hosts eventually succeeded in their attacks. In the 51st minute Pawlowski sent a flat ball into the penalty area, the ball was redirected by one of the players and at last it reached Kownacki who had no trouble sending it into the net from a close distance.
It wasn't long until the result changed once again, however this time nor the hosts nor their fans could rejoice. Pawlowski lost the ball and Tuszynski took it over. The player beat Buric with a precise shot from 18 meters. The equalizer seemed to have motivated the guests as a few minutes later they were already winning. Dzalamidze dribbled in front of the penalty area and passed to Tuszynski who was unmarked. The latter had no problems placing the ball in the net once again. In the 83rd minute it was 1:3. Gajos was the once who executed a free kick from 23 meters with such a precision that Buric helplessly watched the ball land in the back of the goal. Lech wasn't able to turn the result back around and for the first time in over 10 months the team from Poznan lost at their own stadium.
