Lech Poznan - Gornik Leczna 2:2

In the third sparing match of the pre-season Lech Poznan drew 2:2 with Gornik Leczna. Nicki Bille and Maciej Makuszewski scored the goals for the team from Poznan.

It was the first time this pre-season that Lech was forced to catch up with its rival. In the 8th minute Danielewicz finished off a team action with a shot that left Putnocky helpless. A minute later Gajos tried to equalize, but his attempt wasn't on target.

Having conceded a goal, Lech focused on the offensive, but found it hard to surprise the rival's defense line. Majewski and Bille both had a goal-scoring opportunity, but neither of them managed to place the ball in the net. Meanwhile, Gornik concentrated on the defense and on counter attacks which forced Lech to remain cautious.

It wasn't until 45th minute that Lech finally equalized after a series of wasted chances. Kownacki and Bille built a gret offensive action that the latter finished off with a shot that hit the crossbar and fell into the back of the net.

Shortly after the referee resumed the play, Gornik Leczna scored again. Nowak sent a precise cross from the corner kick and Boguslawski redirected the ball into the goal with a header. Lech was focused on the offensive actions but neither of the attempts was good enough to cause real problems to Gornik's defense. After a period of chaotic play, Lech started dominating the match, but still shots at the target were missing. Robak came close twice, but once he was blocked, and his other attempts was slightly unprecise.

In the 75th minute Lech finally found a way to beat the goalkeeper. Tetteh recovered the ball in the midfield, gave it to Formella whose shot was redirected by the goalkeeper. Luckily for Lech, Makuszewski was in the right place at the right time and placed the ball in the net. About 10 minutes later Gornik got a goal-scoring opportunity of its own when Sasin noticed Piesio who was left unmarked near the penalty area, but the latter sent the ball flying above the crossbar, and thus the match ended with a draw.
