In the game of the 11th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan crashed GKS Belchatow 5:0 in a game played at the INEA Stadium. Up till this match the guests had conceded only 4 goals in the league.
It took 5 minutes for both teams to attempt to surprise their opponents, with Ślusarski and Lovrencsics testing the goalkeepers with their shots. However, the play had to be stopped because of the flares that were fired by Lechs fans in the honor of the Poznan Army. The hosts kept on pressing and attacking while GKS Belchatow remained playing in the same manner. In the 17th minute the result changed for the first time. Pawłowski sent a precise center into the penalty area and it was Hamalainen who jumped the highest and placed the ball in the net. In the additional time Lechs offensive became even more dangerous but the guests goalkeeper intervened successfully numerous times, allowing his team to end the first half being only one goal behind.
Maciej Skorża had to make a substitution at halftime because of Trałkas injury. Drewniak came in but the change did not influence the image of the game. In the 51st minute it was 2:0. Douglas sent a precise center into the penalty area and the misunderstanding between Malarz and Sawala led to an own goal. The guests had their opportunity to catch up in the 69th minute but Gostomski managed to save Mójtas free kick. 2 minutes later Lech was leading with 3 goals. Formella sent a pass to Hamalainen who did not waste a one-on-one chance and placed the ball in the net. In the 81st minute the Finnish player sent the ball to Lovrencsics who beat Malarz without difficulties. 6 minutes later Jevtić added another goal to the account. The Swiss player received the ball from Lovrencsics and sent it flying into the corner of the goal, setting the result to 5:0.
