Lech Poznan - Blekitni Stargard Szczecinski 5:1

In the second leg of the semifinals Lech Poznan beat Blekitni Stargard Szczecinski 5:1, and therefore the team from Poznan qualified to the final of the Polish Cup.

There was a lot at stake for both teams, but it was Lech that had a very difficult task to fulfill after the first leg of the semifinals that they lost 1:3. The players from Poznan did not get a single day off before the Thursday match and despite holidays, they kept on training. Blekitni came to INEA Stadium with a two-goal advantage, and therefore the coach from Stargard Szczecinski sent a defensive lineup to face Lech and fight for the final. 10 players were defending their own goal with Gajda the only one that stayed higher up the pitch and waited for counterattacks. Since the first whistle Lech kept on pressing and attacking. The hosts wanted to score as soon as possible and they had a chance in the 2nd minute, but neither Linetty nor Kownacki managed to direct the ball that was centered by Pawlowski into the net. Lech had a couple more opportunities to catch up to their rivals, but in the 19th minute it was the team from Stargard that took the lead. The guests' first attack was successful and following a great team play Wojtasiak, who was left unmarked in the penalty area, left Gostomski helpless as he sent the ball flying into the net. However, since the 28th minute Blekitni were forced to play with 10 men. Kosakiewicz, who had received a yellow card for a foul on Keita a few minutes before, acted irresponsibly by sliding into Tralka's legs. The referee showed the player the second yellow card and sent him off. The image of the game changed and soon after the result on the scoreboard was 1:1. Douglas sent the ball into the penalty area from a free kick and Arajuuri directed it into the goal. Lech did not cease to attack and just before the break the hosts scored once again. Linetty sent a great pass behind the backs of the defenders and Formella placed the ball in the net.

The game did not change after the break, although Lech's attacks weren't successful and the hosts were still a goal short. In the 52nd minute Pawlowski was forced to leave the pitch as one of his rivals hit him in the head with the boot and Lech's winger was bleeding. Jevtic came in for his injured teammate. In the 74th minute Lech finally succeeded and scored the third goal. This time it was Kownacki that headed the ball at the crossbar and into the net, having received a great pass from Hamalainen. The result did not change until the 90th minute and the referee had to call for extra time. Blekitni were visibly tired and they tried their best to defend effectively for as long as possible and lead to the penalty kicks were anything was possible. However, in the 100th minute it was 4:1 for Lech. Again, it was Douglas that sent the ball into the penalty area and Hamalainen was in the right place at the right time and headed the ball into the goal. The result changed one last time at the beginning of the second half of extra time when Formella sent a center into the penalty area and Kownacki turned it into a goal.
