Lech Poznan - ACF Fiorentina 0:2

In the fourth match of Europa League group stage Lech Poznan lost at INEA Stadium with ACF Fiorentina 0:2.

The guests were the ones to attack first. The team from Florence had its first goal-scoring opportunity merely a minute into the match when Suarez attempted to surprise Buric with a shot, however it wasn't on target. After a moment of the Italians' domination Lech started gaining control over the play. Pawlowskis shot missed the post by about a meter and a few minutes later Kaminski had a chance to score too, but this time the goalkeeper from Italy intervened calmly.

In the next 15 minutes both sides had a few opportunities to score. Linetty and Pawlowski came close to scoring, and so did Rossi. However, all shots weren't on target. The image of the game did not change much and the team from the Florence dominated in most of the statistics. Lech was defending the tie well until shortly before halftime. Dudka's foul gave Fiorentina a free kick that Ilicic converted into an accurate, technical shot, thus into a goal.

After halftime Lech was the team that attacked more intensively. Urban's players had nothing to lose and therefore decided to focus on the offensive. The play became more dynamic and chaotic since the teams stopped each other's actions through fouls.

Another goal-scoring opportunity for Lech came about 15 minutes later. Hamalainen was the one to recover the ball in the midfield, he passed it to Linetty and eventually the ball reached Pawlowski who sent a massive shot in the direction of the ball, but it went next the post.

In the second half the tempo of the game decreased visibly. Lech's solid defense line remained working not to let another goal in and focused on counterattack. However, a single error resulted in another change of the score, but not in favor of the hosts. Fernandes sent a long ball to Ilicic and since none of Lech's players managed to cut the pass, Fiorentina's forward placed the ball in the net with a delicate lob.
