Lech Poznań – Stal Mielec 1:2 

The first half of the Saturday clash is to be forgotten as neither of the teams managed to deliver a satisfactory performance. Stal defended with all men whereas Lech had no idea how to break down their opponent’s defensive line and, as a result, rarely visited Stal’s penalty area.

After halftime, the match became more interesting, however, it wasn’t until the 80^th minute that the fans witnessed the first goal. Tymoteusz Puchacz surprised Stal’s goalkeeper with a precise and strong shot from outside the box which helped his team take the lead.

The tables have turned and within a few minutes, Stal scored twice, in practically identical situations. Both goals were initiated by Petteri Forsell’s thrown-in which landed in the penalty area. In the case of the first goal, Vasyl Kravets unluckily redirected it into his own net, and a couple of minutes later, Jonathan de Amo set the final score to 2:0, making Stal’s bench go ecstatic.

As a result, Lech Poznań lost yet another match, this time against Stal who is fighting to avoid relegation. The team from Poznań still has two league matches to go before the 2020/21 campaign ends – an away game against Wisła Cracow on May 8^th and a home clash with Górnik Zabrze on May 16^th.
