The series of Lech’s poor performances against Raków Częstochowa continues. For the past two years, the team from Poznań has failed to beat their opponent from Silesia and they failed again in the 15th round of PKO BP Ekstraklasa.
Lech’s supporters experienced the first surprise of the night when they saw an unusual tactical line-up with three defenders and two wingmen which is also the exact same tactical formation that Raków plays with every match.
Lech’s opponent was also surprised and in the first half they struggled to create goal-scoring opportunities, but so did Lech. The first goal of the match came early in the second half when Patryk Kun rushed into Lech’s box and defeated Filip Bednarek with a precise shot.
On the other end of the pitch, not long later, Michał Skóraś also found the back of the net with a beautiful, precise attempt and it was 1:1. However, in the last phase of the match, Raków dominated and caused problems for Lech. Raków’s second goal was disallowed by VAR as a result of a handball, but in the last minute of the match, the team from Częstochowa found the back of the net again thanks to Fabian Piasecki’s header and went home with three league points.
