Mateusz Lis, Lech’s young goalkeeper, was sent on loan to Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biala in autumn. However, the club decided to shorten the loan and bring the player back to Poznan.
Lis debuted in the senior team in the August Cup match. In September the footballer appeared in a couple of league matches in the First League, but back then Rafal Leszczynski was the first-choice goalkeeper for Podbeskidzie’s coaching staff.
At first, the youngster was meant to remain in Podbeskidzie until the end of the season. However, Lech decided to shorten the loan. “We decided to bring Lis back to Poznan because we have found a perfect solution for the young footballer,” explained Andrzej Dawidziuk, the goalkeeper’s coach.
Lis joined Lech three years ago and he found a place in Lech’s second team and later in Miedz Legnica. During the spring of 2015/16, the youngster was the third goalkeeper in the senior team from Poznan.
