Nika Kvekveskiri received a call-up for Georgia’s Euro 2024 qualifying games in September. The midfielder, who is now the vice-captain of his national team, will have an opportunity to play against Spain and Norway.
Kvekve already has 54 caps in his account. He debuted for Georgia’s senior national team back in 2015 and in recent years, he has regularly received call-ups. The current coach of the Georgian squad is the ex-French representative Willy Sagnola for whom Kvekveskiri is an indisputable part of the starting line-up.
The Georgian national team has accumulated 4 points in 3 qualifying matches for the 2024 European Championship. In September, they will play two qualifiers – against Spain in Tbilisi on September 8th, and then four days later, they will face Norway in Oslo. The first clash between the Georgians and the Norwegians ended in a 1:1 draw.
