Starting next season, Karol Kikut will oversee the first team players’ fitness and motoric training alongside Andrzej Kasprzak who has, until now, been working on this position. Throughout the past season, Kikut had similar responsibilities but in the reserves team.
Karol Kikut has been involved with Lech Poznan for a couple of years now. The coach was a part of Kniat’s training staff when the latter took over the first team in 2012. Since then onwards, Kikut worked on fitness and motoric training of multiple youth teams and last season he joined the reserves team just as Zuraw was appointed the head coach. Karol is the younger brother of Marcin Kikut who used to compete for Lech between years 2006-2012 (150 match appearances).
“Karol has been overseeing fitness training of various youth teams in our academy. Most recently, he has been working for the reserves team. Back when he trained Older Juniors, the team won the Polish championship title. In the past few years, Kikut has attended multiple educational courses and gained experience during internships at foreign clubs. Therefore, he is a very valuable coach and we are happy to have him strengthen the first team coaching staff,” explained Lech’s Sporting Director, Tomasz Rzasa.
Andrzej Kasprzak, the current head of fitness and motoric training, will remain working for the first team. His guidance and experience will provide support for Karol Kikut.
