Marcin Kaminski played 60 matches in 2015. Lech's defender is the most exploited player from the team from Poznan, but also one of the most frequently appearing in Europe. "My teammates always laugh that I can play a lot since on my position there isn't a lot of running to do," explained Kaminski.
In 2015 Kaminski played more matches than Grzegorz Krychowiak. Sevilla's midfielder has one match less on his account than Lech's defender. "I know I have played a lot of games, but I felt well physically. A match once per 3 days had a positive influence on me. I talked a lot to coaches and I emphasized that the moment my mental or physical form worsens, I will let them know," explained the defender.
During this season Kaminski appeared in 37 games. There was only one match he missed, in Europea League against Belenenses. Two other games he began on the bench just to join the team later in the game. Against Termalika he came in as a substitute for the injured Arajuuri, while against Legia he came in for the last couple of minutes only. "That was the plan - if the result was good, we would try to maintain it. The substitution was planned, thus I knew about it in advance. It was meant to be similar in Lisbon, but due to the score the decision was cancelled," explained the defender.
The coaches value the player for his ability to play very often. However, the player did not prepare for it in any special way. It does, to a large extent, depend on the way Kaminski spends his free time. "The truth is that when me, Mozdzen and Drygas joined the first team we had no special training sessions. We did the same as the rest of the footballers, but with difference encumbrance. At a young age we had a lot of tough work to complete. That is when we were prepared to play often. Obviously, each one of us needs rest. That is why most of the time at home I spend lying or sleeping. It is the best way to recover," explained Kaminski.
