Jagiellonia Białystok - Lech Poznań 2:0

The 15-minute delay caused by the failure of the limelight has affected the hosts. Lech took over initiative at the very beginning of the game. However, the team from Poznań couldnt cause any serious trouble for the goalkeeper.
Lovrencsics shots were either inaccurate or easy to save for Baran and Teodorczyk couldnt use the great opportunity created by the mistake of Pazdan and Popchadze, sending the ball next to the post. In the first 20 minutes Jagiellonia caused danger only once when Dzalamidze tried shooting from 16 meters. In the 21st minute, however, the hosts took over the lead. After a free kick for the team from Poznań, Drewniak decided to try and surprise Jagiellonia with a shot from a distance but the ball was blocked and the opponents counterattacked. Dzalamidze sent a great ball to Quintana who, being one-on-one, gave no chance to Gostomski. Having lost a goal, Lech seemed to have also lost an idea for the game and the hosts seemed to be heading for another one. Quintana wasted a great chance in the 36th minute when his shot from a few meters was too light to find its way into the back of the net. Lech could have equalized just before the half time but Linetty who came in for Pawłowski in the 40th minute couldnt finish a team action.

The beginning of the second half undoubtedly belonged to Lech. In the first quarter Jagiellonia rarely left its half of the pitch. However, the team from Poznań was unable to use the great opportunities created or they simply were unlucky.

In the 52nd minute Teodorczyk found himself one-on-one with the goalkeeper after Hamalainens pass but he sent the

ball above the goal. 2 minutes later Drewniaks massive shot hit the bar. Jagiellonias goalkeeper wasnt any less lucky in the 62nd minute when Douglas shot from a free kick once again landed on the bar. In the 67th minute Lovrencsics individually created a great chance. He passed 3 defenders and found himself in the penalty area but his finish was disappointing. Lech remained dominating the game but as the time passed, the hosts defended better and better, and the team from Poznań found it harder to create opportunities. Additionally, Jagiellonia was lethally effective.

In the 87th minute the team from Białystok counterattacked and scored the second goal which set the result. Norambuena sent a ball to Plizga who, being one-on-one, beat Gostomski. Lech couldnt have minimalized the loss but Baran had two great saves in the very last minutes and kept the sheet clean.
