In the game of the 8th round of T-Mobile Ekstraklasa Lech Poznan lost in Białystok with Jagiellonia 0:1.
If it wasnt for the own goal scored by Jakub Wójcicki in 46th second of the first match under the lead of Mariusz Rumak, Maciej Skorża could have said his debut couldnt have been worse. The first offensive action of the hosts took place in the 5th minute and the blank tie turned into a lead for Jagiellonia. Wasiluk won space on the left flank and sent the ball into the penalty area where Piątkowski was waiting to place it in the net. Lech was knocked out by the blow and the helplessness of the guests was reflected by the statistics. The players of Maciej Skorża attempted to surprise the opponents only twice in the first 45 minutes. Both of the shots were inaccurate. The hosts offensive action werent too dangerous for Lech, however Jagiellonia could have made it 2:0 in 40th minute when Tuszyński headed the ball in the direction of the goal but Kotorowskis intervention saved his team from conceding another one.
At halftime Maciej Skorża made a single change, sending Ubiparip in for Sadajew. The Serbian forward sent a well-timed ball to Pawłowski in the 47th minute but the wingers shot from an acute angle was saved by Drągowski. In the 60th minute hosts replied with Gajos free kick from 40 meters but it did not surprise Kotorowski who intervened by sending the ball over the crossbar. Since this moment it was Lech who dominated the game. In the 68th minute it could have been 1:1 when Pawłowski dribbled past three defenders and gave the ball to Keita but the latter hit the post. Ubiparip sent the ball flying past the goalkeeper but according to the linesman he was offside. Lech kept on attacking but the hosts good defense was an obstacle the team from Poznan could not overcome. 8 minutes before the final whistle Skorża sent in Formella but the change did not influence the result and the debut game of the new coach ended with a loss of all three points.
