Gumny in UEFA's top 50 youngsters
Robert Gumny, Lech’s promising defender, has been picked out as one of Europe’s most talented youth players. UEFA’s list of 50 youngsters that should be watched closely in 2019 includes names such as Luka Jović (Eintracht Frankfurt), Rafa Camacho (Liverpool), Juan Miranda (FC Barcelona), Jadon Sancho (Borussia Dortmund), and Vinícius Júnior (Real Madrid).
UEFA.com’s team of reporters was asked to come up with a list of Europe’s rising stars. The group of 50 youngsters includes one Polish player – Lech’s right-back, Robert Gumny.
“Another Lech-raised talent, right-back Gumny is already a regular starter and could draw attention at the U21 EURO,” wrote UEFA.com.
The list of the most talented footballers on the Old Continent included youngsters who have already debuted for teams such as FC Barcelona, Real Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Chelsea London, or Manchester City. One of the most interesting names is Luka Jović, Eintracht Frankfurt’s rising star and Bundesliga’s top goal scorer.
Robert Gumny has so far played in 57 matches for Lech Poznan. The 20-year-old scored one goal and got 5 assists.
