Grant Thornton, the global accounting and consulting firm, once again prepared a report on Ekstraklasa transfers. According to GT’s research, Lech Poznań’s striker Mikael Ishak turned out to be the league’s best summer transfer.
Grant Thornton’s research team measured the impact of the summer league transfers on their team’s performances. Some of the factors which were taken into consideration included the number of points won by a team with the new player on the pitch as well as the footballer’s individual statistics, among them the number of minutes spent on the pitch, goals and assists.
The results delivered by the analysts revealed Mikael Ishak to be the best Ekstraklasa transfer of summer 2020.
“The Swedish striker Mikael Ishak who joined Lech Poznań on a free transfer turned out to be the best offensive (but also overall) transfer of the past summer. Ishak has been scoring regularly in the league and on the international arena. As a result of his great form at the beginning of the season, he won the classification by a huge margin,” says Grant Thornton’s report.
Among the top three best transfers of summer 2020 was also Alan Czerwiński who joined Lech from Zagłębie Lubin. Meanwhile, Lech’s new goalkeeper Filip Bednarek ranked 9th in the classification.
