Lech Poznan drew in an away game against Gornik Leczna 1:1 and remains on the second position in the league table. Zaur Sadajew scored the goal for the team from Poznan.
Lech Poznan tried controlling the match since the very beginning, however most of the play took place on their own half of the pitch. The local fans had to wait 19 minutes for the first shot. That is when Bonin decided for a shot from a distance, but Gostomski intervened successfully. Lech quickly played out a counterattack that ended with Kownacki's header, however the other goalkeeper did not make a mistake either. Soon after the result changed. The hosts won a corner kick and Rudik took over the ball and sent it into the net from a volley, leaving the goalkeeper helpless. It was the player's first goal in the Polish league. Lech was therefore forced to attack more intensively. Arajuuri attempted to help his friends from the offensive and the led a great individual run that at last ended with a free kick given to Lech just outside the hosts' penalty area. Jevtic was the one to execute it and the Swiss player sent a precise technical shot in the direction of the goal, but Prusak intervened successfully. The team from Poznan did not have problems recovering balls, however their actions weren't dangerous, and therefore Gornik didn't have much trouble defending the result. In the 42nd minute Lech had an opportunity to equalize when Kownacki rushed into the penalty area and sent a flat cross parallel to the goal, but there was no one close enough to finish the action. Just when it seemed that at halftime Gornik will still have a favorable result, the guests finally scored a goal. Following a free kick it was Sadajew that won himself a good position and placed the ball in the net with an accurate volley.
In the second half once again it was Lech that dominated, however the hosts had better goal attempts. In 51st minute Gostomski had to intervene following Mraz' troublesome shot from outside the penalty area. Both Lovrencsics and Cernych had opportunities of their own, but the former's shot was inaccurate and the latter was stopped by Gostomski who produced yet another great save. Although a draw wasn't satisfactory for neither of the sides, no team had a player that was capable of scoring a goal that was worth all three points. The hosts were dangerous with their counterattacks and rather focused on the defense, while Lech lacked accuracy. In the additional time Hamalainen sent a shot from a distance, but once again, precision was missing. An argument between the two teams took place just before the final whistle and as a result Jevtic received a yellow card and will miss the upcoming league match.
