In last round ahead of the league's second phase, Lech Poznan won with Gornik Leczna 1:0. Nicki Bille scored the only goal of the match, thanks to which Lech remained on the sixth rank.
It was Lech that dominated the opening minutes and stopped its opponent from creating goal-scoring opportunities. Whatsoever, the players from Poznan caused trouble to Gornik in the offense, too. However, thanks to Prusek's outstanding performance, it was hard for Lech to find a way for the ball to roll into the net. In the 5th minute Bille recovered the ball in Gornik's penalty area, but fortunately for the hosts, the goalkeeper secured the goal successfully. A few minutes later an action led by Kedziora and Gajos ended with Bozic being forced to intervene at the last second as Bille was getting ready to shoot at the goal. The Dane had multiple good chances to score, like the one in 18th minutes when he recovered the ball that was blocked by Gornik's goalkeeper, but the lack of accuracy meant that all those opportunities were simply wasted. Nevertheless, Bille finally succeeded when in the 41st minute he received a pass from Linetty and sent the ball rolling past the goalkeeper and into the net.
Gornik had nothing to lose and thus gave it all in the second half. However, the offensive actions built by the hosts caused little problems to Buric who found it rather easy to stop Bonin's shots. Lech was cautious and controlled the play in order not to concede a goal. Nevertheless, Gornik had a couple chances which could have ended with an equalizer, like for instance when Spiaczka was left unmarked, but again, the lack of accuracy had the score remain unchanged.
Lech received a warning and thus began pressing a bit more intensively. Although the guests failed to create any good goal-scoring opportunity, they kept trying to clear the threat and pull Gornik's players away from their own penalty area. Soon the game turned into a chaos that could have ended badly for Lech. However, luckily for the team from Poznan, Buric remained unbeaten. In the 70th minute Swierczok fired a good shot on target and it forced the goalkeeper to intervene, but he did it without an error.
The hosts remained focused on the offensive, while Lech defended. However, the defense from Poznan was solid enough to stop their opponent and although they had to be extremely cautious until the very last second of the match, when the game ended, Lech had three points more.
