Since Tuesday, Lech’s first team has been undergoing medical tests. It’s a standard procedure that follows any long break from training, which in this case was a result of the ongoing World Cup in Qatar.
On Wednesday morning, the national team players rejoined the squad. As a result of their participation in the international break, they didn’t get as much rest as the remaining Lech players. Those footballers who stayed in Poznań underwent Tensiomyography (TMG) tests on Tuesday.
“It’s a device which detects whether the muscle is working, that is contracts and relaxes, in the right way. The device causes a singular contraction of a particular muscle through an electrical impulse, and then the sensors collect information on the contraction. The computer processes the data and presents them in an easy-to-digest way. The coaches and physiotherapists receive information along with tips related to training and therapy; what needs improving and how,” explained Karol Kikut, Lech’s Motor Skills Training Coach.
The last players will undergo the medical tests on Wednesday afternoon, and then the team will train on one of the side pitches at Bułgarska Street. The training sessions will last until December 22nd – that’s when the holiday break starts for Lech’s squad.
